Description
In a vacuum, objects fall at the same speed regardless of weight, material or shape. This equipment, also called Guinea and Feather tube, is used to demonstrate this truth, to study electrical discharge through rarified gas, and to display the “fountain in a vacuum”.
It consists of a break-resistant acrylic tube with rubber expansion plugs, a stopcock for the vacuum connection and a heavy tripod base. The expansion plugs are easily removed for cleaning and storage. Furnished with a metal disc and feather.
The GS-316 has a tube of 5 cm outside diameter.
