Description
This design of the traditional wheel and axle eliminates the usual cumbersome fork and pointed pivot bearings and replaces them with a simple axle and single bearing.
The Wheel and Axle is used to show the relationship and significance of various pulley diameters when used in a mechanical system. The GS-301 consists of a molded wheel with four individual pulleys of different diameters. The ratios of these diameters is a sequence of approximately 3, 2, 1.5, and 1
The GS-301 has four pulley steps, each with a small hole drilled in each rim for attaching a string. The stainless steel axle is mounted in a ball bearing that is embedded in the center of the molding.
